FAQ

How long will it take to paint a whole house from the outside?

It will usually take 2 to 3 days depending on the size and condition. On the first day we come and pressure wash your home and make sure surfaces are ready to be painted. We seal all open gaps and cracks. On the second day we will come and paint and make sure everything is to your satisfaction. Depending on the condition of your house and the amount of repairs and sealing can add a whole day to make sure the surfaces are ready to be painted.

What is the lowest temperature need to to paint the exterior of a home or office?

Most manufacturers recommend no to go under 55 or 50 degrees, at this point the performance of the paint can be compromised.

What is the best time to paint the exterior of a house?

All year round as long as we have adequate temperature (above 55 degrees) and we had no rain for at least the previous 48 hours and also no rain for the following 24 hours.

What kind of paint or brand should I use?

The answer is the best quality you can afford, IT DOES PAY BACK!! Most manufacturers will have different qualities or levels, the more you pay the longer you paint will last and usually will be easier to clean. If you have access to a Consumers Report you look at the top performers.

For Interior drywall, do I use an Eggshell, Satin or Flat?

I will always be of your preference but we strongly recommend FLAT for 2 reason. One is that is easier to clean and also should you need to retouch or repaint it will be hard to notice where you repainted. Any other type of paint like eggshell, satin, etc. will be clearly noticeable where you repainted. Second and very important flat paint will “hide” a little better all imperfections on your drywall.
